Six Trappistines left Wrentham in 1987 to make the third foundation from the mother house. Located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in central Virginia, Crozet is a dozen miles northwest of the city of Charlottesville.
We offer private retreats for individuals or groups in our two guest cottages, located next to a lovely pond in a secluded area on our property. Here you can read and pray, walk in the fields and woods and enjoy the quiet beauty of the Virginia countryside.
Visitors are also invited to attend the services in the monastery chapel and join in the prayer of our community. We welcome all guests as Christ himself—and consider hospitality an important aspect of our Christian monastic life. Come and see!
